SN is a lifestyle blog that discusses natural hair, beauty, travel and being a black woman in this crazy world. NHB is a fairly new blog where I share the tips and tricks on going natural. Both blogs are here to give you accurate and up to date information on all things beauty. I also share my favorite products on Liketoknowit and on Amazon.
I have had featured articles on Black Girl Long Hair, BlogHer, Natural Hair Rules!!! StyleSeat and I was a contributing writer on Essence.com, Naturallycurly.com and CurlyNikki.com. I’ve been natural for 11 years but only embraced and nurtured by tresses for 8 years. It wasn’t until I embraced the Curly Girl Method did my hair start thriving and I was able to see the best growth I’ve ever had in 2013. I love sharing the ins and outs of natural hair and honest opinions on products and services.
Last year I embraced the low carb eating and worked on losing weight to bring in my 50th healthy and lighter. It worked! I’ve got 20 or so pounds left to loose but also share on social media along with the blog my weight loss journey and how I am working on getting fit for fifty.
I am happily married, a mother of two teenagers and daily growing into a Natural Hair expert and a minimalist. I also write creatively and feel a novel is in my future.
My background is in government regulation and I have been directly involved in local and national politics. I have a BA in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration. I love working for myself, contributing to the positivity of black women and expressing myself through the written word. I have worked with several brands and love sharing those products with my readers!
