Heat damage, chlorinated water and humidity are all well-known frizz makers, but the leading cause of frizz is dryness.

Let’s have a look at some easy frizzy hair remedies that are made from natural ingredients that you may already have in your own home. 




AVOCADO HAIR MASK

If your frizz is caused by dry, dehydrated hair then avocado is your best frizz-fighting option. Avocado is packed with vitamin E and fatty oils, which work to add moisture to the hair and smooth frizz. 

For this mask, mash one very ripe avocado in a bowl along with a tablespoon of virgin olive oil. Apply this mask to freshly washed hair and allow it to sit for at least 30 minutes before rinsing with cold water. This mask can be done every two weeks and you should notice results immediately. 


APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RINSE

The acidity of apple cider vinegar makes it a naturally effective frizz fighter. The acid in this vinegar works to smooth and tame frizz. ACV also gently removes dirt and product buildup from the hair without stripping it of natural oils.

Bananas and coconuts are both rich in natural oils and other nutrients that work to soften the hair, add moisture and reduce frizz. This easy to do mask combines banana and coconut in a protein packed, frizz busting punch. 

For this mask, take one ripe banana and mash it in a small bowl. After all lumps have been removed, add a tablespoon of coconut oil and two tablespoons of warm (not hot) coconut milk. Mix together and apply to damp, clean hair. Cover hair with a shower cap and let the mixture sit for at least one hour before rinsing with cold water. 

DARK BEER RINSE 

Beer can be a refreshing adult beverage, but it also has amino acids and other nutrients that are excellent for the hair. Beer is also great for restoring and locking moisture into the hair, making it perfect for taming frizz.
