Since the scalp is stimulated to in order to encourage cell turnover, it has also been shown that avocado aids in hair growth as well. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEEP CONDITIONING, HAIR MASK & HAIR TREATMENT

It’s best to use avocados that are ripe/over-ripe so that you have a smooth consistency once it’s blended. Many recipes suggest that you ‘mash’ the avocado, but as we ALL know, ain’t nobody got time to be picking avocado lumps out of their hair 3 days later…so I’d suggest using a blender or food processor. Here are 3 easy DIY Avocado hair masks for you to try at home

Damaged Hair Mask  

This mask is great for those of us with dry, damaged hair. The addition of honey and egg give the avocado an extra boost in its moisturizing and strengthening qualities.

½ ripe avocado
1 tbsp. raw honey
1 large egg
Essential oil of your choice (rosemary oil is a good choice as it stimulates hair growth)
Hand-held mixer

Directions
Add all of your ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. Apply to clean hair and cover with a plastic shower cap. Leave on for 15-20 minutes before thoroughly rinsing with lukewarm-cool water. DO NOT use hot water or else the egg will cook in your hair!!

Castor Oil Mask For Damaged Hair, We’ve Got Three!

Dry Hair Mask 

This is for those of us with dry hair that drinks up any and EVERY product we apply to it. If your hair is thirsty, give this mask a go!

1 avocado
1 banana
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp Olive Oil
Hand-held mixer

Directions
Add all of your ingredients into a blender or  food processor and blend until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. Apply to clean hair and cover with a plastic shower cap and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm-cool water. DO NOT use hot water or else the egg will cook in your hair!!

 

Dandruff Treatment Mask

1 avocado
10 drops Argan Oil
2 tbsp honey
1-3 drops Tea Tree Oil
Hand-held mixer

Directions
Add all of your ingredients into a blender or food processor and blend until it reaches a smooth, creamy consistency. Apply to a clean scalp and massage gently, making sure every portion of your scalp is covered. Work any excess down the hair shaft and cover with a plastic shower cap. Leave on for 10-20 minutes
Rinse thoroughly.
