Our communities need us. They need our concern, care, pride and work. We cannot allow anyone in the community to falter and the best way to better our world is by finding a cause (small or large) and doing it!
In the last Presidential election I was out with a local union hitting up neighborhoods making sure folks not only came out to vote but knew the importance of voting and how to change the dynamics of their own space. Those long, hot and sweaty months were the driving force that raised the numbers of voters that came out to have their voices heard. I came out a better person because of it and know we all can help in unique ways just like with the Western Union “Chain of Betters”
We believe that when money moves, better things happen. A business expands. A family connects. A child goes to college. Emergency aid arrives the moment it’s needed. An economy prospers, an opportunity opens, a community heals.
Moving money for better means moving money for a better world –creating value for individuals, businesses and for society. We do this together every day. The money sent by our customers can help to stimulate economies and make individuals’ lives more rewarding and fulfilled.
This is what lies at the heart of the new Chain of Betters project. It’s an idea that empowers people with the opportunity to change the lives of others. As the money moves around the world, creating a chain of good deeds, together we can start to change lives in ways we wouldn’t have imagined was possible. This isn’t just saying money moves for better. This is proving it, together.
This is our world, our community and our chance to better them in ways we never even knew were possible.
