My name is Sherane Heron and I am the founder of Sherane’s Vintage Closet, a lifestyle brand that shares Love, Inspiration & [Vintage] Fashion. I am an Author, Speaker and Mentor who is passionate about inspiring and educating others on living their God-given purpose.
How would you describe your style?
I would describe my style as “royal”… I love wearing chunky gold jewelry to spice up a basic, classy fit. I am HEAVILY influenced my the middle-eastern culture. I love sequin, beads and most of all- gold… Yet, I wear basic tee’s and denim to balance my looks.
How do you decide what to wear in the morning?
It depends on how I feel. It doesn’t take me long to get dressed or do my makeup but I have to make sure I feel comfortable and confident in my outfit because [besides prayer]- it sets the tone of my day.
Where do you typically shop for clothes and accessories?
For accessories- I mostly shop in my boutique Sherane’s Vintage Closet, Tj Maxx, Marshalls, Dillards, Macy’s and Nordstroms Rack.
Let’s talk hair. How long have you been natural? What is your normal regimen.
I have been natural almost 4 years [I think]. I wore weave the majority of the time. I usually wash my hair 2x every week or two weeks with Shea Moisture shampoo and conditioner. Then I use the conditioner as a leave-in coupled with argan oil & Jane Carters Wrap and Roll Setting Foam to do a braid out… Every night I moisturize my hair with Cantu Moisturizer, Argan Oil & Jane Carters Foam to do my braid out so my curls are defined the next day.
Do you have a signature hairstyle?
The braid out, high/low buns and pompadours are my signature looks because thats the only looks Ive mastered:-)
How does your natural hair work with your style?
I love how my natural hair works with my style. I love expressing myself through the art and I feel like Im my best canvas. If I’m feeling fun & wild, I will wear a big hair braid out and if I’m feeling more conservative , I may pull it back into a bun or pompadour.
