Well, well, well. What have we here….we are ‘in’? Well, it’s about damn time if you ask me! Curly or textured hair is in this Spring and I say we better be flauting it up for all the world to see!
For us curlies, naturally textured hair is always in vogue. But this spring, naturally textured hair has been called a “trend to follow.” Marjon Carlos of Vogue Italy reported that the newest pack of black models are “storming the catwalk in full embrace of their natural hairstyles, from cropped Afros to flat tops to buzzed scalps.”
Spring hair trends are falling in favor of natural hair whether its curly, coily or wavy. This season’s trends are “defined by minimalism and natural beauty,” according to Kari Molvar of Harper’s Bazar.
This spring, hairstyles trend toward a soft, undone, homemade, effortless look. This is the season for pretty, do-it-yourself curly hairstyles. Take a look at how people are wearing these 2012 spring hair trends. www.naturallycurly.com
Well, you’ve gotten the info from the horse’s mouth. Not that I need some so-called fashion or hair professional to tell me my hair is the shit but it’s nice to know others including models on the runway are gonna be going for MY look. It does feel kinda good, don’t it?
So flaunt away Naturals!! As if we don’t get enough stares as it is it appears we’ll be getting many more. I can’t lie…I love it! It’s about time we get our due.

Stay lovely Naturals,

Hey Sabrina,
I did just that. I cut my hair and I am going back to the curly girl method. My hair thrived to me better that way before my highlights and hair antics. I have a cut with longer on top& front and shorter on sides and back. I also got a demi color of Black. I am getting used to the cut but for now have chosen to go back to my cowashes and curly state. Lets see what this spring and summer brings. Got about 3-4 or more inches cut on sides and back. Ends of my hair are absolutely wonderful with this cut and wearing a WNG right now!
Good for you! We are all still learning on this Natural hair journey and I learned something about myself over the weekend as well. Wrote about it in a post that will be up tomorrow.
I'm gonna have to check out your blog to see the new 'do'. I'm excited.
Sweet! As much as I don't follow trends or even care what's in trend it's nice to be recognized for natural beauty. I see this as natural beauty being embraced.
