New Book On Natural Hair In The Workplace And Your Legal Rights

Natural hair is beautiful, empowering and growing in numbers with women embracing their natural beauty daily. Despite the love and changes in beauty as a result, many black and brown women are still facing workplace discrimination and bullying from co-workers and employers on wearing it.

SHOULD HEAD WRAPS BE WORN IN THE WORKPLACE?

This problem may be coming to a screeching halt as Attorney, Author and Speaker Tracy Sanders has just released a new book entitled, “Natural Hair In The Workplace: What Are Your Rights?”

This new book is focusing on actual federal and state employment discrimination laws in the United States. This book was created for women with natural hair, transitioning, or just interested in natural hair and learning about their legal rights and obligations as an employee with natural hair.

For many black and brown women, this book may be a real game-changer. As information is power and standing up for ourselves has always been a workplace concern for women of color, we may finally be armed with the resources to fight back against natural hair discrimination as employees.
