Now I am writing this post while eating waffles I made for me and my son but I am serious about this problem that I have. Of course it's much easier to NOT count them or to NOT exercise or to NOT....well, you know the rest but what is MY REAL problem??? No, it's not starting the process or even on how to do it. It's staying on the process that I find the real challenge.
I found out about Sparkpeople.com three years ago last January. I have a page and everything. My page is http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage.asp. Lets be gentle with me since I've got my business out there for all to see but it's a great site and they helped me lose a ton of weight I was carrying around on me back in 2009. What did they do? Not a damned thing but encourage me to count calories and make it easy to do so while having tons of product calories already listed.
It's a community and they are successful people just like you and me from every age range but they all have the same issue. Wanting to lose weight. It's a great place to start if you are wanting to lose weight for the first time or have been struggling for years. I would totally recommend it.
Now, back to the post and issue at hand. Counting calories....gotta get back on track with it. I've been very irregularly on the elliptical machine and feel great afterward but exercise is the area that is hard for me to start and keep up with. I was very successful in New Orleans doing Jazzercise and so much so that i was about to become an instructor before Katrina hit. I tried to still do it here in Denver but I just lost touch with my former life and self.
Does my age factor into any of this? Well...yea, it kinda does. How? Well, I never had to worry about my weight back in my 20's when my metabolism was in stellar condition. I'm also 41 now and busy with school, kids, family obligations and other projects. Now, that's not an excuse it is just the truth. That doesn't mean I can't get back on track it's just HARD. Harder than anything I've dealt with in a long time actually.
So, I'm proposing to start counting calories again. I've got my sister's wedding in November to look awesome for. Yea, It's all about me and not the bride! LOL. Naw, I just don't want to look like a cow in front of a ton of people. You understand I'm sure. I'll be bringing posts relating to weight loss as well as a healthier lifestyle more to the blog. We all could use that can't we? I thought so.
Stay healthy my lovely Naturals,
