Twisted up!!

Here are my freshly done mini-twists I decided to put into my hair today and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with them.

Here's a front view of them.  I had to say they have stretch out a little after they dried and I'm going to twists the twists so I can elongate them and keep from from curling up although I kinda like the look.

I wanted to see if I could twist or braid my whole head by myself since I was considering going the box braid route but the price (starting at $150) made me cringe a little.  I don't have the money to spend like that right now and besides...what's wrong with my hands?  Why not try myself?  There are tons of how-to's on YouTube so I could try.
Like I said, I wanted to see if I could do it myself and I twisted my head with no real problems.  Yea, it was possible but will I be able to do that with box braids?  Not real sure.

So I wanted to share my twists with you Naturals and will keep you posted on what I plan on doing with my hair in the future.

Take care Naturals,

  1. Good for you! Congratulations on the mini twistage. How long did it take you?

  2. The first time I did it it seemed to take FOREVER!!! At least a couple of hours but they were really small. I took those out and did some yesterday and it took about an hour bu they are about twice as big as the ones up top.

  3. I love these twists. They look great. Think of how long they last you. You don't have to worry about anyone pulling your hair to tight or anything. You hair looks great.

  4. Thanks Michelle. The only thing I hate is how much they curl up and shrink. I would like if they laid down sometimes.

  5. I like the curly look with the twists. You did a great job.
