Um...I didn't know and not real sure if it's true and personally gonna keep my opinion to myself until she mentions something about it and I'm assuming pretty soon she will.  CurlyNikki.com  bought out by a white company???    Ultimately it's HER business but can we keep something this good in our own community???  I mean Natural hair is OUR thing!  OK, I guess I AM saying something.  Oh well, anything we have others gotta take and run with it while making tons of money off of us.

Some updated pics of my Natural hair

Here I am again showing pics of my hair.  I guess I'm just doing it to document my own progress but to show others what my hair looks like and why I use the products I use.  Not every one's hair is the same and once newly Naturals learn that they can better understand why they need to try different products to find what works specifically for them.

Here's a couple more:

I did try something new.  I banded my hair after I got out of the shower for about half an hour and I noticed I didn't have AS much shrinkage that I'm used to.  I put one in the front and two in the back.like two back low pigtails.  I'll take some pics of how I did my lazy way of banding because I was really happy with the results.  Usually my hair looks twice as short after it's dry and it's holding some of it's length with only half an hour of banding!

The Coil Review - Natural Hair Group Gives Afro Barbie for Christmas

I would love this doll for myself, but the thought that I could get one for Christmas for my daughter would truly make me smile.  Well, according to The Coil Review, a group in Georgia is doing just that.  Giving dolls like this one away to some lucky little girls.

"This Christmas, a natural hair group in Georgia will give out 40 Barbie dolls with afro textured hair to little girls in the community. One of the group members, Candace McBridge discovered an online demo on how to develop natural looking hair for dolls with items like pipe cleaners and boiling water. Jennifer Henderson, a member of the group tells the Ledger-Enquirer: “We wanted to show the girls that basically, it’s okay the way God made you,” The Coil Review

Isn't that brilliant?  I like the idea and really wanna know how you Naturals out there feel about it.  The majority of my readers are older and may have girls or nieces who would LOVE this, right? Would you give that little girl you know and love one of these gorgeous haired dolls?

My president doesn't look like a skinny, ghetto crackhead!!!

I am really sick of the disrespect our president gets from the right.  They see absolutely NOTHING wrong with it, and FOX, one of the worst offenders is despicable with their racist hatred.  I mean, they see nothing wrong with treating a sitting president of the United States like trash. I just had to pass this on in case some of you hadn't heard. What a disgrace...

After finding a great list of the many Black Owned beauty products and Supply stores  (Independent Black Owned Hair Care Products Companies/Beauty Supply stores) I decided to start a tribute to each one on the list by discussing it a little to get the word out about them.  If I've used their particular product I will mention it but if not I will just highlight them weekly.
